HBASE-3525 turned off the inclusion of transitive dependencies in the hbase/lib/ dir. This means that we no longer get the asm library, which is needed by jersey.

After adding the asm jar, I get other errors because the requisite jars for JSON support are also missing.
I think we should revert HBASE-3525.

Hmm... ok. Exclude rather explicit include (so if no jar added to pom, because of default include, it'll be added). OK. +1 on revert 3535 and add in this instead.

I suggest we revert HBASE-3525 and then apply this patch which manually excludes some of the cruft but still allows rest to work properly.
