session-management in RESTful webservices

does axis2 allows session management with RESTful webservices? if yes any
sample code?

AFAIK 

only a full blown axis2 service 

supporting ws-addressing.mod 

on both ends, at client and server 

in scope="soapsession" 

with cookies turned on

and axis2.xml setting up the proper timeout value

supports long lasting sessions

Nice if somebody tells me the opposite for RESTful webservices.
