[jira] [Commented] (ACCUMULO-892) shutdown doesn't use all minor compaction threads

Keith Turner commented on ACCUMULO-892:
---------------------------------------

A simple workaround for 1.4 and 1.5 may be to add "flush -p .*" as a first step in the shutdown script.

> I have a test cluster which is loaded with a very large number of disks per node. I increased the number of minor compaction threads accordingly. When I shut down accumulo, I saw it minor compacting just one tablet at a time. In another shell, I forced a flush, and the data was pushed out much more quickly. It would be nice if the minor compaction threads could be used to make shutdown run more quickly.
