Problem on 2.0.24 with HEAD/mod_cgi(d?)

Folks,

the request;

GET /viewcvs.cgi/ HTTP/1.1
Host:cvs.apache.org
Connection:close

succeeds.  But the request;

HEAD /viewcvs.cgi/ HTTP/1.1
Host:cvs.apache.org
Connection:close

hangs :(

Don't know what's up with that, but I'm rather certain this sort of kicks
off the possiblity of a 2.0.24 'beta'.  Let's keep pushing forward though.

Anyone have a quick patch?  I'm working on the little bits 'o content patch
for mod_negotation map files, so this isn't on the top of my list.
