>Description:
About the directives AuthUserFile and AuthGroupFile the manual says :
>How-To-Repeat:
>Fix:
>Audit-Trail:
>Unformatted:
[In order for any reply to be added to the PR database, ]
[you need to include <ap...@Apache.Org> in the Cc line ]
[and leave the subject line UNCHANGED. This is not done]
[automatically because of the potential for mail loops. ]
>The AuthUserFile directive sets the name of a textual file containing the list of users and passwords for user authentication.
>Filename is the ABSOLUTE PATH to the user file.
This statement is incorrect
The path must be RELATIVE to ServerRoot. EG :
AuthUserFile c:/apache/conf/htpasswd -----> DOES NOT WORK
AuthUserFile conf/htpasswd -----> IS CORRECT
