Trends API for Timespans?

Does trends.html currently support any kind of past timespans like GET
does? If not, are there plans to add in the near future?

Using this URL:
https://lists.apache.org/trends.html?board@apache.org&s=2015-01&e=2015-12

Seems to give mixed results, which is definitely a bug (even if this
isn't a supported feature). It seems to be calculating the Participants
data from the timespan, but the rest of the output boxes/charts all seem
to somehow be using the last month's data by default (maybe - but
clearly not being consistent).

Trends can have really nice displays of core data, but needs to be able
to support timespans for better analysis.
