[users@httpd] Apache baby question

I am attempting to install Apache 2.0.53 on my W2K SP1
laptop.

The installation program asks for my

Network Domain

and

Server Name

I do not know what this means. I only want to install
Apache on my laptop and try to learn AMP.

All assistance appreciated.

Charlie

Traditionally, if you have no intention of making Apache available to the
world, you would use "localdomain" for Network Domain and "localhost" for
Server Name. Then the URL above would work.

www.yahoo.com: www is the name of the server, yahoo.com is the domain
In your case, once apache is installed, you will be able to use
http://localhost to see the apache default page
