[jira] Created: (SITE-17) Deploy website every night
Deploy website every night
--------------------------
Key: SITE-17
URL: https://issues.apache.org/struts/browse/SITE-17
Project: Shared resources
Issue Type: New Feature
Reporter: Don Brown
We should deploy the website each night automatically to ensure the material stays fresh. Another idea is to trigger it after a commit or have a continuous integration server like Bamboo handle it.

+1 with Don. It would make the content dynamic, and it would mean one less manual site deploy to be done.

This is one half of a larger effort for a more useful home page. Our home page should have dynamic content, perhaps using some interesting Doxia macros, which would make generating it every night essential.

I'm not sure that I understand what parts we are trying to refresh. The API?
The main content and Struts 1 site dont' change very much, and the Struts 2 docs already autodeploy.

Wendy pointed out the velocity site and how they incorporate dynamic content, specifically rss feeds, into the website. I'd like to do something similar
