Apache to MS with SSL and client certificates

I currently have a Java Apache SOAP 2.1 client talking to a MS SOAP service
running over SSL (using Sun's JSSE on the client side). I now need to add
client certificate authentication, using an X.509 certificate that was
generated on the Microsoft side. How do I proceed?
