[jira] Created: (JAMES-751) Fetch Mail requires fetched domain to be added to

Fetch Mail requires fetched domain to be added to <servernames>
---------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: JAMES-751
                 URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JAMES-751
             Project: James
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: FetchMail
    Affects Versions: 2.3.0
            Reporter: Dima Retov

Fetch Mail requires fetched domain to be added to <servernames> (config.xml)

If I set user1@mail.com to be fetched then I can't send email to user2@mail.com.

It seems "recipient" attribute in <account> is ignored. (fetchmail.xml)

userx@fetched.com would be always delivered to local userx ignoring
Virtual Table mailet and recipient attribute.

Thanks,
Dima

[jira] Commented: (JAMES-751) Fetch Mail requires fetched domain to be added to

Steve Brewin commented on JAMES-751:
------------------------------------

The <servernames> setting is saying that mail for the specifiied domains should be processed by James. If you want just a subset of users for a domain to be delivered locally you need to amend the mailet pipeline to split on the subset, sending non-local mail to remote delivery. The RecepientIsLocal matcher can be used for this.

I'm leaving this open, but downgrading the severity, as it would be useful to add this to the examples.
