Hi everybody,

is there already a schedule, when the move of the specs/bundles should be done?

Best regards,

Hi,

It has been discussed some weeks ago on the dev mailing list.

Parts of ServiceMix (bundles, specs) will move to Karaf and the ServiceMix distribution will move to attic.

ServiceMix distribution is outdated and moving directly to Karaf and Camel will allow users to use updated versions.

Hi Jörg,

The preparation is a bit longer than expected mostly to avoid just a move.

The spec bundles are already in preparation (using Karaf features, which will be easier for user).

The TP SMX bundles preparation not yet start (I plan a new feature in Pax URL to create a bundle using a descriptor on the fly).

Reasonably, the move won’t be effective before the end of this year.

I will keep you posted on the mailing list.

Regards
JB
