[jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-8828) Counter of ALLOW FILTERING queries

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-8828?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14327092#comment-14327092 ]

Sylvain Lebresne commented on CASSANDRA-8828:
---------------------------------------------

While it isn't terribly hard to add, we're already talking of adding a way to limit usage of allow filtering (CASSANDRA-8303), which will be much more efficient at making sure they are not used than a counter. And I'm not really sure it's worth having multiple ways to solve essentially the same problem.

>
> Having a counter of requests that use allow filtering could be something to check to make sure a cluster is not using dangerous queries in production.
