Emacs and subversion - praise

I don't know how many of you are in a Linux/Unix environment, but the
psvn.el add-in for emacs/xemacs is fantastic.
I was looking into the subclipse pligin for eclipse but found out that
the latest version of eclipse has no support for the plugin in Linux.
Oh well.

I didn't think that I'd like the psvn add-in because emacs is so
old-school to me. What I found was that it's more than adequate for
developing something under source control. I can do the other stuff I
need to do from the command line.

If you're a Linux guy like me, you may want to give this a shot.

Bryan

FYI, the same file is in contrib/client-side/psvn as well..

Cheers,

Actually, that's not true. http://www.loonsoft.com/downloads has linux
versions for Eclipse 3, up to M6.

You can find M7 builds (for both windows and linux) at

http://subclipse.tigris.org/files/documents/906/11025/subclipse-M7-all-r457-svn1.0.zip

Actually, I think it does (for M5 at least). Check out:

http://subclipse.tigris.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=1733

for a Linux/GTK2 version of the plugin for Eclipse.

Disclaimer: I haven't try it yet, so I have no idea if it works well.

HTH,
Cheers,
Olivier.
