1.7.0-rc4 up for signing / testing
I've rolled 1.7.0-rc4, what is expected to be the last release
candidate, the magic rev is r1176462, and you can find it here:
http://people.apache.org/~hwright/svn/1.7.0-rc4/
After testing this on svn.apache.org, I expect the final release to be
cut from the same magic revision in a week or two. We should have
more exact dates after all the signatures are gathered for this
release.
As usual, to sign the tarballs, please go here:
http://work.hyrumwright.org/pub/svn/collect_sigs.py
Downstream maintainers: as always, we encourage enthusiastic user
testing, but please don't distribute this through channels meant for
end users.
Thanks,
-Hyrum

Re: 1.7.0-rc4 up for signing / testing
Posted by Hyrum K Wright <hy...@wandisco.com>.
Thanks to all for the rapid response to signing and testing this
release. This has now been officially released.
I've set the final release date for 1.7.0 as Oct. 11, to give some
time to get to test by users and on svn.apache.org. Early next week,
I will be re-rolling tarballs from this same magic revision as 1.7.0,
which can then be signed prior to the final release. Anybody who has
already tested rc4 won't need to retest before signing, since the
contents of 1.7.0 will be the same.
Because we already know the magic revision, we've got more time to do
this, hopefully not interfering to much with vacation and travel
schedules.
