Problem with XML Serializer of Xalan

Greetings,

       Had anyone used the serializer API of Xalan. I am using the serailzer
API of Xalan. On using the serialzer API of xalan with the following XML
file. 
     no output file is created and the file size is zero. This is very
important and could someone tell what could be the problem.

  Hi,

I've had the same problem some time ago (i think it
was the same problem, there is) but couldn't really
figure it out.
 At that time I posted a question in the xml-dev mailing
