Deserializing without Call.invoke()

I have a xml string that is a SOAP message that is
rpc/encoded or document/encoded. The message may have
been received via a one-way notification message
or a saved response message from a request/response at
some previous time.

Is there a way of deserializing this message into java
objects without having to do XML rpc message parsing myself ?

Note that there is no Call object available here (there is
no request/response).
