Xalan-C (1.11.1) Patch Release Plans

Xalan-C Patch Release Plan (1.11,1) - June 2013

I am planning to have a Xalan-C patch release (1.11.1) ready for review
by the end of May 2013.  I would like it distributed by the end of June.

The release will contain:

Source Package:

  Support is added for Microsoft Studio 2012. Tested with Xerces-C trunk.
  A critical bug for Microsoft Studio 2010 debug builds is resolved.

  There are no known UNIX build configuration issues to be resolved.

Documentation Package
  The documentation will be updated.

Binary Packages (x86/amd64) - Linked with Xerces-C 3.1.1
  Microsoft Visual Studio (2003, 2005, 2008, 2010) only

Fixes:

It will solve a critical bug in Microsoft Studio 2010 Debug builds and
will support builds using Microsoft Studio 2012.  The current Xerces-C
(3.1.1) XML parser does not support Microsoft Studio 2012.  I have a
current snapshot from the Xerces-C trunk for testing.  I call it
Xerces-C (3.1.2-pre1) and it has current bug fixes and supports
Microsoft Studio 2012.

Status:

The Xalan-C (1.11.1) patch code appears to be ready.  I am working
on the final website documentation.

Xalan-C Release Plan (1.12) - no schedule available

The next release of Xalan-C (1.12) will come out after the Xerces-C
release of (3.2.0).  I hope to have the new EXSLT functions incorporated
into the Xalan-C (1.12) source.
