As far as my research shows, there is no way yet to upload multiple files in one go without resorting to browser plugins. Vaadin does support an "immediate" upload feature that allows you to drag and drop a single file onto an upload button. That is now being implemented as part of ACE-42. This issue probably has to wait until either Vaadin supports this out of the box, or someone spends the effort to implement something client side.
