How does Tomcat scale compared to an app server?
Hi,
We are evaluating whether we need to go to an app server (eg JBoss), or
whether we can use Tomcat.
One of the big requirements we have is scalability. Are there any real
world examples out there of how well Tomcat scales, or is an app server a
better choice?

that would all depend on what kind of apps you are building. If you
don't need EJB and only want to take advantage of JMS, then I would
just use openJMS or Joram with tomcat. hope that helps

jboss uses tomcat, so they must be comparable ;)
