Preparing 0.90.1 release, please hold commits from 0.90

Stack and I are about to try to roll an 0.90.1 release candidate.

Please hold commits from branch-0.90 until we have an 0.90.1 release. Once
we have a release we'll re-open the branch for regular bug-fixes, etc
