YES!

Explanation: this github PR was completely bogus and didn't make any
sense. The original author was unresponsive to questions and feedback,
so I tried to close the PR from our side by adding a comment to a
commit message stating "Closes #76 as invalid".

Lo and behold, we now don't have this PR anymore.
