[PR] KAFKA-19899: Bumping group epoch when member regex subscription changes from non empty to empty [kafka]
AntonVasant opened a new pull request, #21075:
URL: https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/21075
This patch fixes a case in GroupMetadataManager where a member’s
regular expression subscription transitions from a non-empty regex
to an empty regex. In this scenario, maybeUpdateRegularExpressions
should return true so that the group epoch is bumped.
