[jira] [Created] (MINIFICPP-1926) libiodbc sometimes fails to compile

Marton Szasz created MINIFICPP-1926:
---------------------------------------

             Summary: libiodbc sometimes fails to compile
                 Key: MINIFICPP-1926
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MINIFICPP-1926
             Project: Apache NiFi MiNiFi C++
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Marton Szasz

I just got this error:

{{/usr/bin/ld: thirdparty/iodbc-install//lib/libiodbc.a(odbc3.o): warning: relocation against `_iodbcdm_attr_connection_pooling' in read-only section `.text'}}
{{/usr/bin/ld: thirdparty/iodbc-install//lib/libiodbc.a(catalog.o): relocation R_X86_64_PC32 against symbol `iodbcdm_global_lock' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC}}
{{/usr/bin/ld: final link failed: bad value}}
{{collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status}}
{{make[2]: *** [extensions/sql/CMakeFiles/minifi-sql.dir/build.make:317: bin/libminifi-sql.so] Error 1}}
{{make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:8076: extensions/sql/CMakeFiles/minifi-sql.dir/all] Error 2}}
{{make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....}}

We probably need to compile everything with -fPIC. We already compile most things with this flag, but iodbc seems to be an exception.
