Re: How to deploy in Geronimo? Using command line to deploy

Hi,
I have deploy my application file using the command line as shown below:
 # java -jar bin/deployer.jar --user system --password manager deploy
LoanApp.ear

This are the response from the server:
Deployed default/LoanApp/1206078465276/car
      `-> war-ic.war @ /payment
      `-> ejb-jar-ic.jar

However when i open my firefox and enter http://localhost:8080/payment
it response back with and error:
 The requested resource (/payment/) is not available.

This is the file i deploy into the server
http://www.nabble.com/file/p16194044/LoanApp.ear LoanApp.ear

Thanks

Re: How to deploy in Geronimo? Using command line to deploy

Posted by newbie-gero <ch...@e7tech.com>.
Hi,
Thanks for the solution.

Yes, i compress the war file without checking the contents in it. Thanks for
reminding me.
Right now i have compress the war file again.
Now the structure inside war-ic.war is:

WEB-INF/web.xml
WEB_INF/geronmo-web.xml

META-INF/MANIFEST.MF

Deploying the application LoanApp.ear file response from server is:
Deployed default/LoanApp/1206129379790/car
      `-> war-ic.war @ /payment
      `-> ejb-jar-ic.jar

I assume that is successfully deployed. However when i type
http://localhost:8080/payment it gives the same error:
 The requested resource (/payment/) is not available.

I have upload my new ear file. Can anyone please put into your server and
try if it is working? A million thanks. I like to know is it my geronimo on
my machine is giving me the problems?
i'm sure the codes are running correctly because it can run successfully on
jboss. The only thing i add into the ear directory is the additional
geronimo-web.xml file into LoanApp.ear/META-INF/geronimo-web.xml  and
LoanApp.ear/war-ic.war/WEB-INF/geronimo-web.xml.

Please take a look a my file and guide me on how to deploy on Geronimo as i
now still trying out on this new server.
This is my file
http://www.nabble.com/file/p16207043/LoanApp.ear LoanApp.ear

thanks

Re: How to deploy in Geronimo? Using command line to deploy

Posted by Jarek Gawor <jg...@gmail.com>.
The embedded war file is created incorrectly. It contains extra
directory. For example, jar vtf war-ic.war returns the following
entry:

war-ic/WEB-INF/web.xml

but it should be:

WEB-INF/web.xml
