[jira] [Created] (FLINK-21065) Passing configuration from
TableEnvironmentImpl to MiniCluster is not supported
Robert Metzger created FLINK-21065:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Passing configuration from TableEnvironmentImpl to MiniCluster is not supported
Key: FLINK-21065
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-21065
Project: Flink
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Table SQL / Planner
Affects Versions: 1.13.0
Reporter: Robert Metzger
While trying to fix a bug in Flink's scheduler, I needed to pass a configuration parameter from the TableEnvironmentITCase (blink planner) to the TaskManager.
Changing this from:
{code}
case "TableEnvironment" =>
tEnv = TableEnvironmentImpl.create(settings)
{code}
to
{code}
case "TableEnvironment" =>
tEnv = TableEnvironmentImpl.create(settings)
val conf = new Configuration();
conf.setInteger("taskmanager.numberOfTaskSlots", 1)
tEnv.getConfig.addConfiguration(conf)
{code}
Did not cause any effect on the launched TaskManager.
It seems that configuration is not properly forwarded through all abstractions.
