[jira] [Created] (CB-5068) File "app/www/cordova.js" is referenced in "app/www/index.html" but doesn't exist.

Tom Himanen created CB-5068:
-------------------------------

Summary: File "app/www/cordova.js" is referenced in "app/www/index.html" but doesn't exist.
                 Key: CB-5068
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-5068
             Project: Apache Cordova
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: CordovaJS
    Affects Versions: 3.1.0
         Environment: Ubuntu 12.04.3 +
npm 1.3.11 +
nodejs 0.10.20 +
            Reporter: Tom Himanen
            Priority: Critical

Is far as I know, "cordova create hello com.example.hello HelloWorld" should create cordova.js in hello/www. This doesn't happen though. hello/www/index.html references to cordova.js relatively (hello/www/cordova.js) but no cordova.js can be found. A screenshot of the issue described above can be seen here: https://twitter.com/TomHimanen/status/388032198760083456

This issue can be reproduced by running my Cordova CLI installation script version 1.6 (and any later) on clean install of Ubuntu 12.04.3. The script can be downloaded here: http://static.himanen.info/scripts/install_cordova_cli/install_cordova_cli-1.6.sh

One weird thing connected with this issue is that a few weeks ago I installed Cordova CLI with the script version 1.0 (http://static.himanen.info/scripts/install_cordova_cli/install_cordova_cli-1.0.sh) on one of my virtual machines running Ubuntu 12.04.3, and after running the script I had a project with cordova.js in project's www folder. This doesn't happen anymore. Because having cordova.js in www was rare, I took a snapshot of the virtual machine state to be able to develop mobile applications. I took a screenshot of that machine to prove that there really is cordova.js in www folder: https://twitter.com/TomHimanen/status/389493699454849024/photo/1
