> Currently, we used checked-in snapshot jars to run our local development cluster, which are updated ad-hoc. The FE, however, pulls in nightly dependencies via maven. This doesn't seem like it should cause issues as long as backwards compatibility is maintained, but IMPALA-2166 proves otherwise. In addition, the point of having checked-in snapshot jars was to increase stability, so maybe we should do that for the client jars as well.
