[jira] [Created] (INFRA-4258) Cassandra: HEAD points to
non-existent ref
Cassandra: HEAD points to non-existent ref
------------------------------------------
Key: INFRA-4258
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4258
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: public (Regular issues)
Components: Git
Reporter: Eric Evans
Priority: Minor
Cassandra's new Git repository has a HEAD that points to a non-existent ref (presumably master). This causes the checkout to fail when cloning the repo, and makes portions of the CGI script fail unless a head is chosen first.
I believe the solution is to issue the following from the repo (cannot be done remotely): git symbolic-ref HEAD refs/heads/trunk
This is probably something that should be added to a migration checklist.

Any better now that it points back to trunk?
