[jira] [Commented] (SHINDIG-1499) Memory leak in IE7 when doing adjustHeight() in response of a makeRequest()

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SHINDIG-1499?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13139008#comment-13139008 ]

Dennis Ju commented on SHINDIG-1499:
------------------------------------

I was looking into this on the Liferay side and found that the issue is ultimately with Shindig. Any gadget calling makeRequest(), regardless of whether adjustHeight() is called will leak ~10 mb per call in your test gadget. I used sieve to detect memory usage on IE on the default Shindig 2.0 implementation on Tomcat and saw the same memory loss.

IE is known for poor memory management to begin with, and I didn't have any success tracking down the issue on the Shindig side.
