[DISCUSS] Apache Calcite Online Meetup May 2021

Hi all,

During the last meetup many people were positive in the idea of having
another meetup around the end of April. Given that we are already late
February, maybe it is better to aim for the beginning of May instead (5 May
2021?).

Like last time [1], the meetup is gonna be virtual and it would be good if
we can keep the presentations to ~1h (so 1/2 talks depending on the
duration) +1h for open discussion. As suggested by others this time we are
gonna try using a regular Zoom meeting (instead of Webinar).

Are the people willing to give a talk around Calcite?

What do people think in terms of timing?

Beginning of May sounds good.

I’d be happy to give a talk, if there is time available. I could either give “Evolution of Apache Calcite” (a short talk, ten minutes) or “Morel, a functional language for data” (thirty minutes).
