[jira] Created: (INFRA-2324) Construct mailing lists for the Subversion podling

Construct mailing lists for the Subversion podling
--------------------------------------------------

                 Key: INFRA-2324
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2324
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Task
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
          Components: Mailing Lists
            Reporter: Greg Stein

Please construct the following five mailing lists for the Subversion podling:

  dev@subversion.apache.org
  users@subversion.apache.org
  commits@subversion.apache.org
  announce@subversion.apache.org
  private@subversion.apache.org

Discussion has occurred on general@incubator about allowing these lists to be constructed directly on the target CNAME, rather than on the @incubator.apache.org host. There have been no opposition so far, but should that arise, I will update this ticket.

Historical archives of these mailing lists equivalents from @subversion.tigris.org will be handled at a future point in time, and are not part of this ticket.

For moderator, please use:
  gstein@gmail.com

C. Michael Pilato commented on INFRA-2324:
------------------------------------------

Just for historical notation purposes, I advised Joe to remove the Reply-To setting from all our mailing lists *except* commits@, which is setup to reply to both commits@ and dev@. I believe this is consistent with our current list management configurations.

Eric, Lorenz: we are looking for moderators that have been part of the svn community for a while. After you participate for a while, then you could volunteer for moderation.

Infra: please go ahead and close this ticket. If there are any future requests for changes or additional moderators, I'll open a new ticket or find you on IRC. Thanks!
