Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: XERCERJ-130
Summary: Problem with text nodes and DOM
       Type: Bug

     Status: Resolved
 Resolution: CANNOT REPRODUCE

    Project: Xerces2-J

   Assignee: Xerces-J Developers Mailing List
   Reporter: thomas2.maesing

    Created: Mon, 21 Jan 2002 3:09 AM
    Updated: Mon, 12 Apr 2004 2:15 PM
Environment: Operating System: Other
Platform: PC

Description:
Hi,
if I parse a UTF-8 encoded document with a DocumentBuilder, I get wrong values
for the text nodes. To show the result I added a default transformation output.
The values of this output are equal to the node values of the text nodes.

I have also attached the result with Xerces 1.

Best regards

Thomas
