   Hi,
   
   Yes, it seems like the same issue.
   This fix was never adopted / promoted by the community, unfortunately.
   
   A PR I’ve made in the past for resolving the issue wasn’t considered
   seriously, IMHO, so I stepped back.
   
   I personally hope support for running on Windows will find its way into
   kafka, eventually.
