Subject: [OFBiz POS 18.12.19] Barcode Scanner and Credit Card Terminal Integration

Hi OFBiz Community,

I have a basic understanding of the OFBiz POS module and am looking for
guidance on integrating it with physical hardware.

1. Barcode Scanner — Does OFBiz POS natively support USB HID
(keyboard-wedge) barcode scanners, or does it require additional
configuration? Is there a dedicated input listener in the POS client for
this?

2. Credit Card Swipe Machine — Is there a built-in integration path for
physical card payment terminals (PED devices) in OFBiz POS? Is
PaymentGatewayServices the correct extension point for this, or is it
limited to card-not-present transactions only?

Any real-world experience, pointers to relevant source files, or existing
patches would be greatly appreciated.
