[jira] Created: (RIVER-119) 'Deprecation' of config entries.
'Deprecation' of config entries.
--------------------------------
Key: RIVER-119
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RIVER-119
Project: River
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: net_jini_config
Affects Versions: jtsk_2.1
Reporter: Ron Mann
Priority: Minor
Bugtraq ID [6241506|http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6241506]
The current method of deprecating configuration entries would presumably be through release notes and/or documentation in the corresponding entry. Would it be worthwhile to consider some mechanism to deprecate entries. Perhaps, the checkconfig tool could report entries which have been marked as such.
