[apache/incubator-mxnet] [RFC] Apache MXNet branding issues (Issue #21036)
In our discussion thread in general@incubator about graduating Apache MXNet to a top level project, the Apache IPMC noticed some [branding issues](https://lists.apache.org/thread/6brq4jg1x3hnt0sr3phboh2vwoo33db1) that should be addressed.
List of current violations identified:
- DockerHub: https://hub.docker.com/u/mxnet and https://hub.docker.com/r/mxnet/python
- FIXED: Updated to use proper name
- https://anaconda.org/anaconda/mxnet
- Do we know who own these?
- https://cv.gluon.ai/tutorials/index.html
- FIXED: Provided [PR](https://github.com/dmlc/gluon-cv/pull/1743) to fix
- https://www.alibabacloud.com/help/en/machine-learning-platform-for-ai/latest/download-mxnet-resources
- Reached out to Alibaba via web page feedback
- https://rocmdocs.amd.com/en/latest/Deep_learning/MXNet.html
- Created an [issue](https://github.com/RadeonOpenCompute/ROCm_Documentation/issues/147) to fix this
- https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-wktuc2vochjwe
- Reached out to company (Jetware) to change name
- https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/search/results?searchTerms=MxNet
- There are a number of marketplace offerings that are in violation
- DLAMI-related offerings should have name changed by 5/26
Some issues (including branding) were brought up previously in a Apache JIRA ticket: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INCUBATOR-253 but most were resolved last year.
Going forward, it would be nice to have a sort of monitor for identifying these violations sooner. Does anyone have bandwidth to create a monitor that uses a search engine to find trademark violations?

I've notified trademarks@ of the 3 outstanding branding issues listed above. We do not have PPMC associated with these entities.

The GluonCV website has been updated.
All items, except the Anaconda packages, have been resolved. We are currently working with trademarks@ to resolve this.
