Howard,

Will the book get an international release?

Regards,

Jason.

This keeps coming up.

Yes, I am working on a book, "Tapestry in Action" for Manning. It is pretty darn comprehensive and
covers 3.0 in all its glory. Several people on this list have helped out with technical reviews and
the comments in general have been very positive. I think the book, when its ready, will really help
the community. It does get into some very advanced stuff ... I'm working on a dynamic JavaScript
generation example right now.

I don't know when it will be published; I'm working 27x7 between WebCT (my day job) and finishing
the book ... not to mention Tapestry itself.

I can't promise that Manning will publish any of it online, but they have seemed to be open to the
idea. However, that can't happen until the book is in near-final stage, so I need to keep writing!

If I can get the book finished soon, it may be available in early fall. Again, I'm scrounging for
time to finish the book, and even when I'm done, there's still several stages before dead trees turn
up at your local Barnes & Nobel in book form.

Once the book is done, I can work on the documentation included in the distro. However, I expect
the distro doc to be a quick reference. The book will be the definitive guide. Please don't cry
about shelling out a few bucks for the book ... I've invested thousands upon thousands of hours on
Tapestry, and took over three months without pay to write the book ... even if it is a huge seller,
I'll be at least $15K in the hole, even after royalties.
