Cocoon2 features implemented in Cocoon1.8

Hi everyone
 
I am new to Cocoon. From the website material, I understand there will be
some big architectural differences between Cocoon1.x and Cocoo2. I also
notice that Cocoon 1.8 has some C2 features implemented already. Is there
somewhere I can find out which ones these are? (I have looked at the changes
section in C1.8 but it is not clear to me)
