I wanted to use the Java client mentioned at https://github.com/apache/incubator-livy/blob/master/docs/programmatic-api.md#using-the-programmatic-api to invoke various REST API calls such as GET /sessions; or to execute some Python code on Spark. However it looks like the Java client only allows users to submit Java jobs. Is this restriction by design? Or are there plans to mirror the full REST API at https://github.com/apache/incubator-livy/blob/master/docs/rest-api.md in the Java client?
