Tom, I'm now experiencing PDT related timezone failures here -- see:

I'm going to revert this for now, and can you take a look? I need to proceed with the RC for 0.6.
If you have time to figure it out and submit a new patch maybe we can get it in there for 0.6 RC #2 or later,
but for now, reverting this.
