Salesmob is an app for salesman in private company using on backend Protheus ERP. Your goals is run on/off line accessing product and clients data, read any barcode (fast) to make sales and syncronize witht the backend after (on case offline) 

Comunication is under Soap protocol.
Database is just by SharedObjects, read lists of objetcs.
Barcode reader is using ANE
