ca i use https protocols in jmeter for load testing

Hi all
   i want to perform load testing using htps protocols
can i use jemter for that.but it reports error report stating invalid protocol.
how can i perform testing?
also i want to perform continous testing of series of web pages.can i do it ?if so how?
can any one help in this with source

JMeter supports the https protocol.  If you are using v1.6.1, it's a radio 
button that you choose on the URL sample.  However, you need to get Sun's 
JSSE package, which comes with 3 jar files (jnet.jar, jcert.jar, jsse.jar) 
that all need to be in your classpath.

Continuous testing of a series of web pages - that's a pretty good 
description of what JMeter does.  Do you have questions about how to set up a 
test?
