RE: [net] Refactoring of ftp2

Any news on the promotion business?

Is there anything I need to do to get voted in as a committer?

I have run some tests on the setup and find that it works just as the old ftp2 stuff did.

As I indicated in an earlier post, I'm not sure it's worth the effort to get all this checked into the proposal section if the promotion is soon to happen.

I haven't taken the time to look at everything in detail, but on the
surface it sounds like a good approach. Let's get to this promotion
and 1.0 release business resolved, get you voted in as a committer, and
then start trying this out.

Basically you contribute to an ASF project via patches and general
efforts on the mailing lists. Another way is to help with testing
pre-releases.
