[jira] [Comment Edited] (TEZ-3550) DagClient does not provide access to AppID/DagID

------------------------------------------------------------

Hive provides the queue name to Tez via configs so ideally speaking Hive should already have the queue info. Is there any other reason for providing the app report?

Also, appId access belongs at the tez client API level and not necessarily at the dagclient layer. Likewise for queue name if it is exposed.

> Looking into sending the Tez appID/dagID to ATS as part of HIVE-15149, however these do not appear to be accessible from the base DagClient
