Palm "doc" format?

Does anyone know of a method for converting
from XML to the "doc" format suapported by 
Palm handhelds?  AFAIK, this is a binary format
and it would seem that a serializer would be
the best method for performing this.  Perhaps
there is one available that can be adapted?
