CoreOS have released a [specification|https://github.com/coreos/rocket/blob/master/app-container/SPEC.md] for a container abstraction as an alternative to Docker. They have also released a reference implementation, [rocket|https://coreos.com/blog/rocket/].

We should consider a C++ implementation of the specification to have parity with the community and then use this implementation for our containerizer.
