[jira] [Created] (INFRA-12343) Enable authentication tokens in
Nexus?
Daniel Halperin created INFRA-12343:
---------------------------------------
Summary: Enable authentication tokens in Nexus?
Key: INFRA-12343
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-12343
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Wish
Components: Nexus
Reporter: Daniel Halperin
CC [@BrianFox] per recommendation on #asfinfra
Apache's Nexus expects us to put username and password in cleartext in ~/.m2/settings.xml.
For other projects, I have been able to get from Nexus web UI pseudorandom tokens for "username" and "password" instead. This seems a medium security improvement.
Filing a feature request/wish for token per suggestion on hipchat.
Thanks!
