[jira] [Commented] (CLOUDSTACK-7992) UI feature for resizing ROOT volumes

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-7992?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14228715#comment-14228715 ]

Nux commented on CLOUDSTACK-7992:
---------------------------------

Applying this patch (in reverse) brings root size functionality to the instance creation wizard:
https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf?p=cloudstack.git;a=commit;h=8fec09ba481fbd3b8c2a9e4d31ef06f113b037cb

So it looks like at least half the work is already done.

> Currently the Cloudstack 4.4 API can deal with resizing DATA and ROOT volumes for KVM hypervisors, however the UI is missing the feature for volume resize of ROOT disks.
> Please add the necessary code to allow resizing of ROOT volumes (once the VM has been stopped). Probably most of the code can be taken as is from the DATA volumes section.
