I followed Vincent's instructions about which changes are necessary in order to
restore compatibility, see also first post here:

I guess that the remaining class 'PDFBoxPDFImageHandler', which still causes
compilation errors, can be removed.

I think it is very important that an updated version of the fop-pdf-images
plugin is released before fop 1.1 comes out, because a lot of people use it. It
would be very nice if somebody can review my changes.
