We provide a method that allows the airflow rest_api calls to set the task_instance to the given state

Airflow 1.10 is already end-of-life since 17th of June 2021. No more changes are going to be merged there. We heartily recommend to migrate to 2.* seriers - especially that there won't be any more security fixes in 1.10.* series. You can learn more about it at the upcoming https://airflowsummit.org/sessions/2021/panel-airflow-security/ discussion panel at the Airflow Summit.
